What is a tenant improvement?  It is the customized alterations a building owner or property manager will make to commercial rental space in order to configure the space for the needs of a particular tenant. They are sometimes also known as leasehold improvements.This process requires many cooks in the kitchen, so to speak.  Architects, designers, building owners, property managers, third-party construction managers, and tenants are usually involved in all or parts of the build out.
