Q: What was your first job?

A: Construction Laborer.


Q: Who inspired you to pursue a job at Dowling Construction, Inc.?

A: A former co-worker who started working for Dowling brought me on board!

Q: What motivates you to come to work each day?

A: The people that I work with.


Q: If you could get a new skill in 10 minutes what would it be? (Or if you could have a super power what would it be?)

A: To fly.


Q: If you could give one piece of advice to someone starting at Dowling Construction what would it be?

A: Always have a good attitude.


Q: What is the best life advice you have received?

A: Keep pushing because life will always push you.


Q: What advice would you give your teenage self?

A: Stop getting in trouble.


Q: Do you have a way to turn things around if and when you are having a bad day?

A: Tell myself it could be worse and I start getting grateful.

Q: Do you have a favorite quote?

A: You never know how strong you can be, until being strong is the only choice you have left.


Q: What is something you want to do that you have NEVER done before?

A: Travel to Rome.


Q: Did you have a favorite band in High School?

A: Not a band but my favorite music was Reggae mon!


Q: What is the best compliment you have received?

A: “You are very caring person”.


Q: What is something you saw recently that made you smile?

A: Coming home to my wife and kids.

A: Stop drinking booze

A: Take a break and relax. 10 quiet minutes does wonders

A: I don’t.

A: Go to Hawaii

Q: What was your first job?

A: Stock boy at a butcher shop/deli convenience store. I help cut up deer that hunters brought in. I also made sausage links which led me to quit eating sausage for many years.


Q: Who inspired you to pursue a job at Dowling Construction, Inc.

A: Me!


Q: What motivates you to come to work each day?

A; My family


Q: If you could a new skill in 10 minutes what would it be?

A: Playing the banjo, like my comedy hero Steve Martin.


Q: If you could give someone one piece of advice to someone starting their employment at Dowling Construction, Inc.

A: Don't suck! Because we sure don't!


Q: What is the best life advice you have received?

A: My dad always instilled in me that you work hard, be dependable, provide for your family, and always have a work and home separation. Work stays at work. Family is a priority.


Q: What advice would you give your teenage self?

A: Don't be so quiet and reserved. Have the confidence in yourself you do now and take more chances!


Q: Do you have a way to turn things around if and when you are having a bad day?

A: I turn to a few special people in my life who know me best. They can always tell if I don't say anything. They know who they are.


Q: Do you have a favorite quote?

A: "If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice."


Q: What is something you want to do that you have never done before?

A: Retire


Q: Did you have a favorite band in high school?

A: Rush


Q: What is the best compliment you have received?

A: I receive so many it's hard to pick just one. Ha-ha! Ok seriously, it's not a compliment per se, but to me it is a compliment to the person I am. It is seeing how loved, cherished, and respected I am by my family and friend. Especially in helping me deal with the health issues I am going through now. They all step up to the plate without having to be asked.

Q: What is something you saw recently that ,made you smile?

A: My grandkids.
